This module will explain all of the different options you have for obtaining help and support through Canvas Support and Xavier support services.

After completing this module, you will be able to:

  1. Request help with Canvas through Canvas Support options
  2. Request help with Canvas through Xavier resources
  3. Obtain additional Canvas resources

Canvas Support Options

There are a variety of options that you and your students have for obtaining support through Canvas.  Use the buttons below to access those options.'

Phone button for 24-hour phone support
All Xavier faculty & students have 24/7 phone support access with Canvas. You can contact Canvas support at 855-778-9967 with your general how-to questions and technical questions — or if you experience any problems with Canvas.
Chat Now button for 24-hour chat support
All Xavier faculty & students also have 24/7 live chat support access with Canvas. An additional benefit of using the live chat support is that you will receive a transcript of your chat after it concludes.
Guides button for the Canvas Guides
The Canvas guides are highly recommended for finding answers to common questions quickly. You can also find tutorials for every Canvas feature here.
Help button for additional Canvas help options
Additional Canvas help options can be found by clicking on the Help button at the bottom-left hand corner of every Canvas page.

Xavier Support Options for Canvas

Xavier has several options for obtaining support with Canvas.  Faculty can request common course needs through the forms link below.  Xavier faculty can also request one-on-one support with Canvas through our Instructional Design department Links to an external site. using the link below. 

  1. Canvas request forms Links to an external site. - Xavier request forms related to seeing courses, course merge/copy requests, course design or pedagogical concerns
  2. Instructional Design and Technology's Canvas page Links to an external site. - All available Canvas resources can be found here, as well as information on instructional design and instructional technologies used at Xavier
  3. Xavier Service Desk Links to an external site. - for general information regarding Canvas and other technologies used at Xavier.  The service desk can also be reached at 513-745-4357.
